Oct. 18, 2010During a campaign stop in Garden Grove this morning, Meg Whitman defended her plan to eliminate the state's capital-gains tax and brushed aside a comment from opponent Jerry Brown that she'd get roughly $15 million in tax savings if the plan was instituted. "What person in her right mind would spend $140 million to run for governor to save $15 million?" the Republican gubernatorial candidate told reporters after a stump speech at the Earth Friendly Products soap and detergent plant.
