However, she reiterated her opinion that the emissions law, AB 32, is a "jobs killer" that would drive businesses out of California and vowed that, if elected, she would suspend it for at least a year until the economy improves. Whitman went even further in an interview with the Mercury News this week, saying she would "probably" veto AB 32 if it came before her today.
